Timeline

1940
Born in Stillwater, Oklahoma on July 29, 1940 to Robert Roy Compton Sr. and Wava Ernestine (Calkins) Compton.

1958
Graduated from Stillwater High School.

1962-1975
Married my father, Joe Allen Clements.  They lived in Indiana then moved to Tennesee, where my brother and I were born.
My mother was a homemaker and loyal wife who lived solely for her family.  She was part of the "Welcome Wagon", which she spoke of often, as she loved welcoming people.

1975-1989

Moved to Houston, TX where she continued to be a homemaker and would take us wherever we and our friends needed to go; she was always doing for other people, especially her children.  She was interested in art, pets, music, singing, dancing and some martial arts, she had lots of hobbies, her favorite was supporting her children in their activities, events and ball games; she NEVER missed a one!  She was the most supportive person on this earth.
She was a loving mother, a loyal wife, a friend to many, and a hero to most.
She was separated from her husband, my father in 1987.
She stayed in the house for the next 2 years until I was on my own... She divorced from my father in 1989.

1989-2004

Moved back to Stillwater, OK to be close to relatives, where she then got a job at Wyatts Cafeteria as a hostess/server and worked  until they closed a few years later.  She was then hired on as a residential care activities director at a local residential home for the elderly.  She also did individual elderly care, as needed.  This was something she loved to do, as her nature was helping people and doing for others.  When she semi-retired, due to her illness, she went back to homemaking and focusing on her health and family.

2004-2006
She moved to Oklahoma City to be near her daughter Dana and family.  She rented a nice dupex in which she lived independently, but close to her family.  She would help Dana in her grooming salon, bathing dogs and folding towels, as she loved animals and being with her daughter.  She was able to spend the last two years of her life just as she wanted, with her daughter, son-in-law and grandkids.  She loved children so much and was blessed with 2 step grand-sons and lots of foster grandchildren.
She did what she loved and lived to the fullest possibility of life. She had a world of people who's hearts she touched, and lives she changed; For that, I am grateful and I know they are too.

2007
Passed away on January 08, 2007 at the age of 66.
A sad day for us, she will be missed more than words can express.
We know that she is safe and in no more pain, where she can rest and dance, and sing till her heart's content!
In Loving Memory, Mama, Carol Ann (Compton) Clements
